Cheers to Awkward and Awesome Thursdays!

And without further Adieu (which actually means goodbye in French?)....

Awkward
All this week, I have ran into a wall at least 1x a day...I'm pretty sure every AandAT post has involved me running into something

Hahah no this picture is not me or anyone I know...
just totally awkward and totally fitting for today!

Awesome
I haven't seen my handsome boyfriend since my birthday, that was Memorial Day weekend people! I finally get to see him tomorrow!

I'm pretty sure we will have a half day tomorrow ;) all of our managers are out of the office tomorrow except one, and she's taking a half day

Mani and Pedi appointment after work, I'm thinking something festive for my piggies

Yesterday was the first session of my first Beth Moore Bible Study.

We did a squat challenge in the bootcamp class I do m-f.  It was my first challenge and I got to 21...which means I did somewhere between 200-230 squats! I kept up with pretty much everyone in the class! I was pretty proud for my first squat challenge :)

I babysat my sweet cousins last Friday...Twin 2 year old boys and a 4month old, precious but a handfull

My Awesomes weigh out my Awkwards!
Either that means next week will be a doosey or this weekend will be jam packed

Cheers to MoroccanOil

I'm not a big hair products person.
Let me re-phrase that...I don't like to spend a lot of money on hair products.

Here are my staples...

and this summer...

I just recently got my hair done and my fabulous hair dresser used some of her new products on me.
May I introduce MoroccanOil

It smells amazing, works amazing, and is moderately priced.
Is it $5.99 for sea salt spray?
No, but you won't be skipping a meal to pay for it either.

Here are the products that she used on me :)

Loved loved the Glimmer Shine Spray and hair spray...The shine spray actually worked for 1.  I've bought shine spray before and nada. The hair spray gave me great hold that lasted all day and to the next with an amazing beachy smell!

What are some of your favorite hair products?

Blog under construction--any tips?

I no longer have brown hair and my little blog is starting to look very....unprofessional, not clean, and choppy.
Time for a make-over!

Also...lets face it, I can't stick with one look for very long...

That's what I look like when I do construction ;)

If anyone has any basic tips, blog decorating sites, templates to use, tips on creating a tab bar, anything they'd like to throw my way, I'll accept and appreciate each and everyone!

I want to do this cost free, so any FREE sites or coding sites you know of would be great :)

Cheers to Yoga For Headaches!

I used to get headaches soooo bad!
They would haunt me daily...(those little jerks)
I'm not a big medicine person unless I really really need it.  Therefore, I would sit in a dark room with a cold cloth on my forehead, hoping that when I finally fell into a deep slumber
I would wake up and that wretched ache would be gone.

With all the stress in our lives, or those who still haven't went to the eye doctor, here is an alternative to cure those nasty headaches.

This little article is from Savvy Sugar.

Seated Neck Release

Quarter Dog

Grounded Tipover Tuck

Seated Heart Opener

Happy Baby

Wall Straddle

Click here to read the complete explanation of how to perform each pose properly.

Do you have any non-medicine headache remedies you'd like to share?

I'd be a diva to if...

The USA Today did a story how I tripped over my Jimmy Choo's and broke my toe!

Aretha Franklin is back on track with her new album, "A Woman Falling Out Of Love," a new tour and a new wardrobe! However, the Queen of Soul suffered a minor setback in her Dallas hotel suite when she accidently stumbled over a pile of her own fancy footwear. Her left foot landed atop the spike heel of her Jimmy Choo, which wrapped around her left index toe, which she said "hurt like heck for a minute but seemed to subside."
Read the full story from the USA Today

I have many stories like this, here is just one, you'll be sure to laugh your choo's off...

About a month ago I was in spinning class and my pants got wrapped around the pedeal.  We were sprinting while standing up so you can imagine how tight that sucker was wound.  Just as I started to hear my ankle crack, I was finally able to brace myself with the opposite leg (later I found out there is an emergency break).  After one of the trainers finally cut me loose (yes he turned on the lights, thankfully I was in the back and made them turn them back off immediatly once I was free) he explained that in his 15 years he had never seen such a thing happen.  I was bruised and swollen for a week, luckily nothing was broken.

If anyone wants to sell that story to a tabloid, I will willingly let them
so long as they promise to share the profits with me.
I promise they will go to a good cause ie: car payment, insurance, new contacts, and school bills.

Have any of you had any moments like this? I know the Queen of Soul and I can't be the only ones ;)

If only my spill looked this gracefull
Thank you pintrest for making us clumsies look so pretty

Cheers to Bonnaroo---being over?

This is how I've been describing my trip to the farm...exhausting, hot, AMAZING, and unique all wrapped up in a tie dye bow.

Would I go back? Yes
Would I go back in a tent? NO

I'm a very out-doorsy person, I loveee camping.  Bonnaroo isn't a place for it.
It is super dusty and hot! And by super dusty I mean those things in my nose that you pick were black and one year my brother went to the doctor for all the dust in his lungs.
The music on the other hand is the AMAZING part.
For that hour and a half you are at the concerts its amazing.  Also at night when the sun goes down...again AMAZING!

 The Black Keys

 Arch to enter Center Roo
Some of the art on the walls

Taking a minute out to gather ourselves

Waiting for the Futurebirds to start
 The Futurebirds
 The Band of Skulls

 Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
**I'm pretty sure I have a crush on her, she rocked it!

 Grace Potter crowd

 Grace Potter crowd again...
People just kind of take a nap where they can...

Sam and I were trying to get away from the sun in between shows
and this is the only shade we could find, out side the porter potties
 Old Crow Medicine Show

Mumford and Sons
**on my camera, there are tons of him, he's a cutie ;)

Cheers to the Roo!!!

So I'm sitting here at Biggby, my favorite near by coffee place since I moved home.  The Ugly Mugg still has my heart though ;) Anywho...I'm skipping church today to plan for BONNAROO!!!!(eekkk, not too happy about it, but that's ok I'll watch the podcast later :)

We leave Wednesday at 3am! and will be there until Sunday.  I am sooo excited but nervous at the same time. What if I get there and hate it! That is a long time to be stuck in 90+ degree weather, on a 700 acre farm, with music that plays pretty much 24/7.  And let me tell you that heat in TN is tough.  When it's hot, it's hot.  Bright side is my family is an hour and a half away.  So there is an escape route.  Kind of lol I may have to leave my car there until Sunday.

I love music, adventure, camping, and being outdoors. So I think I'll be ok :)

For those not familiar with Bonnaroo here are some pictures I found on Pintrest and Google to give you an idea!

Hmmmm....Maybe I'll see some celebs walking oot and aboot?

Needless to say, this will be the far most exciting trip and eccentric I have taken, well my whole life.  I am so pumped I finally found a friend as crazy as me to take on the Roo! Here goes nothing Sammy Doo!

Have any of you been to Bonnaroo? How did you survive your first trip?

Oh PS did I mention its the year of the Cicadas in TN?
My brother told me they are attacked to loud noise too! fantastic lol...
Maybe they will be gone by next week ;)

Since I am skipping Church today, I will leave you with this from Our Daily Bread
Admitting that we’re guilty,
Acknowledging our sin,
Then trusting in Christ’s sacrifice
Will make us clean within. —Sper

(No clue who Sper is...but I like his message)
Happy Sunday My beautiful 4 Followers :)

Cheers to feeling Calm

I just came across this article in Vitamin G.  We all need ideas on how to feel calm.

Sniff some lavender: Multiple studies have confirmed the soothing properties of lavender. Whether you just keep a little sachet at your desk or try it in the form of lavender-scented shampoo, it's a cheap and easy way to feel zen. I love lavender, do you?

Eat a mango: Oddly, Japanese researchers say that the scent of mango produces calm feelings. They're not sure why, but since mango is such a healthy snack, it's worth trying!

Have a good cry: Confession: I cried recently, and it felt really good. I felt calmer afterward, less worried about the thing I was crying about in the first place. Turns out, I'm not alone. More than 85 percent of women say that crying helps them feel calmer. So don't hold back those tears!

What are some of your favorite ways to release stress or calm down?
I enjoy...
Excersing, I workout 5 days a week and let me tell you I'd go crazy without it!
Yoga
My Boyfriend
Books
Relaxing at the Coffee shop
anything outdoors
the lake
and Music

Hope everyone's weekend is going well!

This is totally something I would do!

Cheers to Tori Spelling

I remember Donna from 90210

Side Note:
Oh I just love the 90's fashion.
I love even more that some 90's trends are coming back in style!

but I most know Tori Spelling as Screech's girl friend Violet on Saved by the Bell

But I love her most as....

I think she is just the cutest and has the best personality ever!

She recently launched a new website called ediTORIal
If you didn't Tori Spelling is quite the laday.
On her site you can get tips on party planning, cooking, mommy hood, vintage shopping, and the list goes on.

Here is a snapshot

Does anyone else love her as much as I do, what are you favorites?
Tori's books, tv shows, crafts, style?!
